The Promised Land Camp, nestled in rural Conestoga, Pennsylvania, and surrounded by approximately 126 acres has a variety of opportunities to challenge, stimulate and inspire individuals of all ages physically, mentally, and spiritually. Whether you are an individual looking for some solitude or and association of churches looking for a camp to have a week long summer camp, this is the place for you. Our accommodations include fourteen cabins with 272 beds for summer camps and 120 beds for winter retreats. We also have R.V. sites and tent sites for the more adventuresome. Our activities include a pool with a diving board which is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Behind the pool is an exciting waterslide. The pond offers a relaxing atmosphere for canoeing, fishing, or just lounging. We also offer an archery and rifle range for the hunters in the group or just those interested in trying something new and challenging. Horseback riding is offered for those who have never ridden and for those who are accomplished riders. We give corral rides as well as trail rides. The trail rides meander through the wooded part of the property and cross our stream on different occasions. A nice quiet ride is both relaxing and peaceful. The camp has a challenging and exciting low and high ropes course. The low ropes course offers skill areas where team work and positive communication makes the experience educational and physically strengthening. The high ropes offers four elements: the Burma Bridge, Catwalk, Leap of Faith and the Incline. You can finish the day with a jump off our zip line. There are always canoe and inner tube rides down the Conestoga River for those looking for more excitement. We have a full size gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts. We also have a full length activity field for soccer, football, or whatever game you want to play. Connected to the activity field is a softball field. In the winter time we have ice skating on the pond, and a thrilling snow sledding hill. And when you want to warm up, two of the cabins and the dining and meeting hall have fireplaces. There is a full size kitchen and dining hall. Part of the dining hall can be used for a meeting room. In the summer time there is a tabernacle which can be used for services. Next to the pond is an outdoor tabernacle which can be used as well. For smaller groups, Judah and Hilltop Lodges are ideal with self contained kitchens and dining areas. And for couples or families, the A-frame is perfect with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and shower. For those who just enjoy walking through the woods, the camp offers several hiking trails and is connected with the Appalachian Trail. For the splunkers, local caves offer a challenging and exciting time of exploration. Whatever your needs may be, spiritual, physical, mental or emotional, come to the Promised Land Camp and enjoy getting away from the world, and see what God will do for you.
